Samantha Stevens burglarizes grandmother’s house

SAMANTHA STEVENS FEAT

34-year-old Samantha Stevens stole from her grandmother, Barbara Remi, at her Walnut Grove residence in May 2019. On June 11th, 2019, Remi alerted the authorities that she had been out of town from May 28th to June 11th, adding that she briefly returned on June 9th and discovered that her extra keys had gone missing.

When she returned on June 11th, she realized she had cash, debit cards, credit cards, and a gold necklace with diamonds and rubies missing. Remi told authorities that there were no signs of forced entry. On June 19th, 2019, deputies investigated and obtained footage from the Economic Crime Bureau showing Stevens using stolen cards.

On June 24th, 2019, Remi told officers that Stevens had called her, confessing to breaking into her home and stealing her cards and necklace. She also said she told her she pawned her necklace at Pawn Plus in Southaven, MS. Officers then confirmed with the Pawn Plus manager that Stevens sold the jewelry, and a warrant was issued for her arrest on June 27th, 2019. Stevens was later taken into custody on May 11th, 2024, for aggravated burglary.
