Kelsey Ingram threatens boyfriend with knife during altercation

19-year-old Kelsey Ingram had a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Christopher Campbell, at his Knight Arnold Road residence around 2:12 a.m. on May 17th. Campbell told officers that he and Ingram argued, which escalated after he had locked himself inside his room to get away from her. Campbell stated that Ingram entered his room with a knife, swinging it at him, sparking a fight that left him with a swollen lip and a cut on his nose. Then, Ingram told deputies that Campbell got upset because she was talking to her female best friend, whom he did not like. She stated she entered the room with a knife because the door was locked, adding that she needed her work clothes. Ingram said she tried to talk with him, which upset him, and he “mugged her upside her head.” Then, she advised officers that she stuck Campbell in the chest with a knife, tried to force him to talk with her, and admitted to pulling a knife on him before. Campbell said he was only trying to defend himself because this was not the first time she pulled out a knife at him. He added that the first time Ingram pointed a knife at him she held it to his neck. Ingram was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault and aggravated assault.
