Jametria Stevenson threatens to kill girlfriend after beating her up in car

33-year-old Jametria Stevenson was involved in a domestic altercation with her girlfriend, Jayda Bell, near a Park and Highland residence on May 27th. Officers spoke with Bell, who stated she was in a car with Stevenson, and they began arguing, which led to a fistfight inside the vehicle. During their altercation, Stevenson punched Bell in the nose and head. Bill then exited the car and ran off before Stevenson drove the vehicle around, looking for her. Stevenson then found Bell, and they started fighting again. Bell then ran off, hid from Stevenson in some bushes, and called officers. Bell informed officers that this is when Stevenson found her hiding and approached her with a pocket knife in her hand, threatening Bell, saying, “I’m gonna kill you.” Bell proceeded to run off again before she flagged down officers, identifying Stevenson and the vehicle as she was driving by. Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, located Stevenson in the driver’s seat, and placed her into custody. Officers also observed the pocket knife in the driver’s seat. Officers noticed Bell’s bloody nose and knot on her forehead. Stevenson was taken into custody for aggravated assault and domestic violence.

Sharon Shaw offers to perform oral sex on police officer for $65

29-year-old Sharon Shaw was seen soliciting officers near Lamar Street on February 20th. While officers were conducting an undercover operation, an officer was flagged down by Shaw. Following a brief conversation, Shaw offered to perform oral sex on the officer in exchange for $65. The officer then gave the signal, and Shaw was detained. The incident occurred within 1.5 miles of American Way Middle School. Shaw was charged with Prostitution near a school on May 20th.

DUI: Keirra Oliver found sleeping behind the wheel of her Nissan Altima

23-year-old Keirra Oliver was seen sleeping behind the wheel of her vehicle at a traffic light near Sycamore View Road and Macon Road on May 20th. Officers pulled up behind Oliver’s Nissan Altima at a red light during regular traffic. As the traffic light turned green, the Altima did not proceed through the intersection and stayed parked in the roadway. Officers watched the light cycle and turn red again before initiating a traffic stop on the Altima. Officers approached the front driver’s side window and observed Oliver sleeping behind the wheel. Officers woke up Oliver and began to speak with her. As they spoke, officers noticed Oliver’s Glossy and bloodshot eyes along with the odor of alcohol on her breath. Oliver admitted to officers that she had drank three beers that night. Officers then asked Oliver to perform sobriety tests, which she consented to and performed poorly on. Oliver was then taken into custody for DUI and prohibited parking in specific places.

Kristin McFaden kicks police officer in face after drinking Patron with friend

22-year-old Kristin McFaden was seen publicly intoxicated and hitting officers at a Cochran Street residence on May 20th. When officers arrived on the scene they spoke with McFaden and noticed the smell of alcohol on her as well as her slurred speech. McFaden told officers that she had been drinking patron with her friend. Officers deemed her too drunk for her own safety and attempted to take her into custody, causing her to become irate. Officers took McFaden to a Mental health institution located near Court Avenue to detox her. The staff at the institute attempted to treat McFaden, but due to her behavior, they told officers, “You all could take her to jail.” As officers attempted to put McFaden back into the police vehicle, she kicked an officer in the left side of the face. McFaden was then taken to the station and charged with Assault against a first responder and reckless endangerment.

Brittany Brewer caught with Magic Mushrooms at Extended Stay America Hotel

31-year-old Brittany Brewer was caught with Magic Mushrooms and drug paraphernalia in an Extended Stay America hotel room on Quail Hollow Road on October 12th, 2023. When officers arrived, they detained Andrew Birmingham, Brittany Brewer, and David Taylor, who were all inside the room at the time. Officers found seven yellow rectangular pills with inscriptions on them as well as a digital scale on the bedside drawer. Officers located a clear bag containing Magic Mushrooms on a bedside table and $127 in cash hidden between the mattresses. The Magic Mushrooms tested positive for Psilocybin, weighing in at 7.8 grams, and the pills were identified as Alprazolam. All three were taken into custody, and A warrant was issued. Brewer was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia on May 20th, 2024.

30-year-old Darian Jackson was involved in a domestic altercation with her aunt, Denise Jackson, at their Stephen Forest Road residence On May 19th. Officers arrived on the scene and spoke with Darian, who stated that Denise assaulted her. Darian told officers that she was sitting on the back porch when Denise approached her and told her she needed to contribute more to the house. Darian says that Denise then grabbed some of her belongings and threw them outside on the ground. Darian informed officers that when she tried to grab her items, Denise body-slammed her. Denise then got on top of Darian, picked up a picture frame, and slammed it on Darian’s head.

Officers then spoke with Denise, who stated that she told Darian she needed to clean up more, causing them to begin arguing. During the argument, Denise grabbed Darian’s items but was attacked by her. Denise then claims that Darian began striking and biting her on the arm before she regained control, holding Darian onto the ground. Officers observed injuries on both Denise and Darian and could not determine a primary aggressor. Both were taken into custody, and Darian was charged with domestic assault.

Kayla Johnson attempts to assault boyfriend with scissors during altercation

24-year-old Kayla Johnson was involved in a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Eric McDowell, at an Arnold Road residence on May 19th. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with McDowell, who stated that he and Johnson had gotten into a verbal altercation that turned physical. Officers talked to Johnson, who admitted that during the altercation, she had gotten angry and charged at McDowell with a pair of scissors. Officers then spoke with McDowell again, who stated that he grabbed Johnson by the neck and strangled her so she was unable to assault him. Officers then spoke with Johnson again, and she told officers that she was unable to breathe while McDowell held her down while strangling her. Both were taken into custody, and Johnson was charged with aggravated assault. 

Veronica Cleaves threatens cousin with metal pole during confrontation about childcare

44-year-old Veronica Cleaves was involved in a domestic incident with her cousin, James Moye, at a Goodwill Lane residence on May 19th. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Cleaves, who stated that Moye had fled the scene after she called the police earlier that same day. Cleaves said that she went to the Goodwill Lane residence to confront Moye and other family members about the care of the children inside the residence. Cleaves informed officers that Moye then became angry and aggressive before she armed herself with a metal pole, as there was a height difference between her and Moye. This is when Moye armed himself with a wrench, and the two continued to argue until Moye grabbed a black handgun and pointed it at Cleaves.

Officers then spoke with Moye, who stated that Cleaves had come over and made allegations of the children not receiving proper care. Moye told officers that Cleaves became angry and armed herself with the pole, which she hit against the couch in the living room multiple times. Moye noted that he stood up, armed himself with a wrench, and told Cleaves she needed to leave. Both Moye and Cleaves admitted to making threats towards each other while armed, but Moye denied owning a gun, stating he doesn’t even own one. Cleaves was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Alyssa Leonard spits on multiple police officers while resisting arrest

20-year-old Alyssa Leonard was seen assaulting officers and resisting arrest near Millbranch Road and East Raines Road on May 19th. Officers arrived on the scene after they were advised that four armed males began running after they attempted to pull them over. The men ran from Millbranch and Raines to a Delsa Circle residence before they were retrieved from the residence and detained. After a while, Sincerely Anderson and Alyssa Leonard arrived on the scene, causing a disturbance. Officers told them both to get away from the vehicles, but they refused to listen to officers’ commands. The pair became irate, and officers continued to refuse their orders, so they were both detained. While officers attempted to take Leonard into custody, she began spitting at them. She continued this behavior while being placed in the back of the patrol car before kicking an officer. Officers then attempted to detain Anderson, who was pulling away from officers, refusing to give them her hands. Anderson was very combative with officers and also spat on them as well. Leonard was charged with two counts of assault against a first responder, one count of resisting official detention, and one count of disorderly conduct.
