Alexis Gray helps man trick woman into sending reward money for missing dog

40-year-old Alexis Gray was caught extorting someone on April 9th. On March 27th, Takeisha Sprouse reported the theft of her dog at an Autumn Creek Road residence. Sprouse began posting pictures of the dog, offering a reward. Sprouse stated to officers that the dog had been missing since March 25th. Following these events, on April 9th, Mario Thompson was taken into custody for investigation. He told the police that he and Alexis Gray work together at Hibbett Sports and admitted that he had worked with Grey to get the reward money from Sprouse. Thompson stated he asked Gray to find a picture of the dog and to send it to him, which she did.  Later in the day, Gray was taken into custody for investigation, and she admitted she had observed Sprouse’s social media posts about the missing dog. Gray also told police that she knew Thompson was trying to scam Sprouse out of reward money. Gray then admitted to sending the picture to Thompson to assist him in the scam. Grey then stated she knew the dog’s location but refused to give it to investigators. Gray was then taken into custody and charged with Extortion.

Jada Black assaults incarcerated father’s girlfriend during argument over his property

26-year-old Jada black was caught assaulting Rochanda Tucker at a Dempster Avenue residence on April 16th. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Tucker, who advised that she had arrived at the residence to pick up her incarcerated boyfriend Jarrod Moore’s items and leave. Tucker also stated that she was approached by Black, who asked for Moore, her father’s, property back but did not get it. Tucker then claimed that Black began pulling her hair and hitting her as she tried to leave. Tucker then gave a recorded statement and identified Black to the police on April 19th. Black was taken into custody for domestic assault on April 22nd.

Teasha Rosser assaults boyfriend at Westy’s on Main Street

41-year-old Teasha Rosser was involved in a domestic incident with her boyfriend, Jerald Jennings, at Westy’s on Main Street on April 22nd. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Rosser, who had a cut on her knee. She stated that she was arguing with her boyfriend Jennings about him cheating on her. Rosser then claimed Jennings started screaming, “hit me,” and pushed her onto the ground, which had caused the injury to her knee. Officers then spoke with Jennings, who stated the two were arguing when Rosser hit him. Officers observed a knot on the back of his head and took Jennings into custody. A witness, Jacob Schorr, advised officers that there was camera footage of the entire incident.

Kasity Parker leaves child in vehcile after accident, claims he’s satan

32-year-old Kasity Parker was involved in a single-vehicle car accident that she had walked away from near Dunn Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a child in the backseat, bouncing back and forth in the vehicle. Officers found a utility bill with Parker’s name and address in the glove box. Officers arrived at an apartment near Mimosa Avenue and located Parker, who stated that she went into a store, and someone stole the vehicle that the juvenile was in. Parker then stated numerous different locations from which the car was stolen. Parker claimed she did not know the juvenile but also told officers that it was her brother’s baby and not hers. Parker then claimed that she could read the minds of humans and dogs and hear voices sometimes. Parker also stated the child’s name was Satan and that she gets weak around the child. Showing signs of mental illness, officers took her into custody for child abuse and neglect on April 21st.

Alexandria Twilley stabs ex-boyfriend with kitchen knife

31-year-old Alexandria Twilley stabbed her ex-boyfriend after an argument, Altoni Paulette, at a Shallow Rock residence. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Paulette, who claimed Twilley threatened to kill him and chased him outside with a handsaw after he was stabbed. Paulette sustained multiple injuries, including a stab wound to the head, wounds to the chest, and a cut to his left arm. Paulette was transported to the hospital in critical condition for treatment. Twilley was taken into custody for Attempted second-degree murder on April 21st.

Latrenda Miller gets taken down for prostitution

22-year-old Latrenda Miller was caught prostituting on December 1st, 2023, at Lamar Avenue near American Way Middle School. Officers conducted an undercover operation using one of its officers as a decoy. While in the area, an undercover officer was flagged down and approached by Miller, who claimed she would have full sex with him in exchange for $75. The officer then gave the takedown signal, and Miller was arrested for prostitution near a church or school. 

Tiara Jones shoplifts $115 worth of items from Walgreens

29-year-old Tiara Jones was caught stealing out of a Walgreens on Airways on March 31st. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Justin Sherrod, a Walgreens employee, who stated that Jones walked into the store and stole numerous items totaling $115. Sherrod captured a picture of Jones on his cellphone, which he showed to officers. On April 2nd, Tauwanna Hammer, the manager of Walgreens, said she recognized Jones from previous shoplifting in the store. Hammer identified Jones to officers as the person who stole the items. Jones was taken into custody on April 21st for theft of merch and burglary of a building. 

Kenterica Bailey violates bail conditions by calling ex-boyfriend 68 times in three days

30-year-old Kenterica Bailey was caught harassing her ex-boyfriend James Williams between February 28th and March 5th. On March 6th, Williams reported to officers that Bailey had continued to contact and text him since her release from jail on a domestic assault charge that was against him. Bailey’s release conditions prevented her from calling and communicating with Williams directly or indirectly. Williams also stated that he had received 25 phone calls from Bailey on February 28th, 40 on February 29th, and three on March 1st. Williams then played voice messages left by Bailey on March 5th that officers deemed vulgar, harassing, and annoying to Williams in nature. Officers then spoke with Bailey, who stated that she and Williams had been contacting each other via call and text. Officers took Bailey into custody, charging her with harassment, violation of protection order, and violation of bail conditions on April 21st.

Beaunca Perry assaults mother for checking on her son

36-year-old Beaunca Perry was involved in a domestic incident with her mother, Pamela Perry, at Pamela’s Bazemore Road residence on April 21st. When officers arrived, they spoke with Pamela, who claimed she was checking on her grandson, who was acting sick. While checking on her grandson, Pamela advised that he fell over in the chair. Beaunca then came downstairs to check on her son, saw her son had fallen over, pushed Pamela, and struck her in the face. Pamela then claimed that she defended herself by using her weight to push the suspect onto the floor and lay on her. Pamela also claimed she was unable to get up because she had asthma and was getting winded because of her body weight.

Officers then spoke with Anthony Perry, husband of Pamela Perry, who stated he heard a loud noise and observed his wife on top of their daughter. Anthony also said they were granted custody of their grandson due to Beaunca being homeless and unable to take care of the child. Pamela also stated that they allowed Beaunca to live in their home due to her being homeless. Beaunca was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Jakaisha Lucas jailed for causing a scene during an investigation

On April 20th, 21-year-old Jakaisha Lucas was with her friend Ja’mia Estell, who was caught selling alcohol illegally in a parking lot near South Main Street. When officers made contact with Estell, she admitted to selling beverages that contained alcohol. Jakaisha Lucas, who was also with Estell at the time of her arrest, progressively became more upset and refused to obey the officer’s commands—drawing the attention of more individuals in the area. Lucas was then taken into custody for disorderly conduct.
