30-year-old Dameka Moore was seen shoplifting at the Walmart on Elvis Presley Boulevard on May 8th. Walmart employee Chardai Smith told law enforcement they observed three females stuffing items in their tote bags and then going to the self-checkout for a receipt. Smith said the females then ran to a brown Nissan Altima and loaded the items into the vehicle. The items stolen amounted to $1,073. On May 9th, officers ran the tag for the 2013 brown Nissan Altima and found that the car’s owner was Dameka Moore. When officers reviewed the surveillance footage, they discovered that one of the females was also Moore. Dameka Moore was taken into custody and charged with property theft on May 21st.
Dameka Mone Moore of Knight Lane Memphis, TN, was booked into the Shelby County on May 21st, charged with theft of merchandise. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $3,000.
