DUI: Patrice Kilpatrick tells police she took what was “possibly Oxycodone” before causing fatal wreck

60-year-old Patrice Kilpatrick was involved in a fatal car accident near a Boston Street residence around 2:10 a.m. on May 17th. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with Kilpatrick, who stated that she had taken some medication, “possibly Oxycodone and something else” before diving. Kilpatrick added that she dropped a brown bag belonging to her friend between the two vehicles. Officers found the bag which contained pill bottles and mail that belonged to Kilpatrick. She was then prompted with sobriety tests and performed poorly. Officers discovered that she did not have a valid driver’s license or insurance for the vehicle. Kilpatrick was taken into custody for driving under the influence, not having a valid driver’s license, failure to provide financial responsibility and reckless driving.

Patrice Kilpatrick of Hammond Road in Memphis, TN, was booked into the Shelby County Jail on May 17th, charged with driving under the influence, no driver license, no registration, and reckless driving. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $10,000.
