39-year-old Audra Shantill Perry had an altercation with Lelisa Austin, a security guard, at Saint Francis Hospital on Park Avenue in the early hours of May 10th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Austin, who advised them that Perry had left the hospital and returned, running inside, acting irate, telling them to give her a bus pass. Then, while Austin was trying to escort her off the premises, Perry tried spitting on her and hit her on the right side of her face, leaving a scratch. Austin added that Perry tried to take her duty weapon from her holster before another patient intervened. When officers spoke with Perry, she told them that she did not know what was going on and that she has multiple mental health issues. Perry also stated she does not know what medication she takes for them. Perry was taken into custody for assault.
Audra Shantill Perry of Mill Branch Park Drive South, Memphis, TN, was booked into the Shelby County Jail on May 10th, charged with assault. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $350.
