Albert Chatman steals air freshener from Dollar General

60-year-old Albert Chatman stole merchandise from the Lamar Avenue Dollar General on the afternoon of February 5th. Dorothy Boles, a manager at the location, flagged officers down regarding the incident and pointed out Chatman. After a brief foot chase, Chatman was detained. Officers located 4 Febreze air freshener bottles and a pack of Glade air freshener plug-ins, totaling $29.19. He was taken into custody. After being released, Chatman failed to appear in court, so a bench warrant was issued for his arrest on May 22nd. Chatman was taken into custody for theft and evading on May 26th.

Robert Chatman of Larose Avenue Memphis, TN, was booked into the Shelby County Jail on May 26th, charged with evading arrest and theft of property. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,500.
