Quenesha Mason jailed after hitting man in head with baseball bat during robbery at gunpoint

19-year-old Quanesha Mason was caught after helping commit a robbery near Rutland Road on April 30th. When officers spoke with Mario Hurst, who claimed he had a female guest, later identified as Mason, in the home. Hurst stated that as she went outside to make a phone call, she returned to the house, followed by an unidentified black man. Hurst claimed that as the man was holding his pistol, he demanded that Hurst give him his wallet. After this, Hurst and the man began fighting over the weapon. Hurst claimed that Mason helped the man by grabbing Hurst’s baseball bat and striking him in the head three times. Hurst was also hit in the head with the pistol by the man before the two took his wallet, fleeing the scene in a gray Honda. Hurst identified Mason to officers as the female who struck him with the bat. A warrant was issued, and Mason was taken into custody on May 14th for aggravated robbery.

Tahlyah Small posts ex-boyfriend’s social security card on his Facebook, threatens to stab him

20-year-old Tahlyah Small was taken into custody for harassing her ex-boyfriend on May 21st. Around 5:40 p.m., Michah Mickens reported the occurrence to the East Raines Road Precinct. Mickens advised officers that at about 4:19 p.m., he woke up to several emails stating he had been logged out of his Instagram and Facebook account using Tahlyah Small’s number. Then, one of his friends told him that Small was live on his Instagram Page, saying she was going to stab him and show up at his grandmother, Marsha Mickens’, Pilgrim Road residence. Another friend notified him that Small had posted his social security card and driver’s license on his Facebook page. On May 10th, around midnight, cameras captured Small taking pictures of his car at his residence. Then, on May 21st, surveillance cameras showed that she was at Marsha’s home while he was filing the report. Mickens told Small to leave repeatedly, but she refused, even after she learned that the police were on the way. When officers arrived, she was still there and was detained for the incident on May 22nd.

Martavia Hughes shoots gun at Toyota Corolla during altercation with cousin’s ex-girlfriend

25-year-old Martavia Hughes was booked on an outstanding warrant from September 21st, 2020. That day, police responded to a shooting on Wesley Oaks Circle and spoke to Briana Smith, Brianna Glasper, and Amiracle Glasper. The three of them told police they had been in an all-day feud with Brianna Glasper’s ex-boyfriend, Corterious Atkins, because he stole her car keys and refused to give them back. Smith stated that she drove Briana and Amiracle Glasper to Atkin’s house on Appleville Street to get the keys back. When they arrived, a fight broke out between Atkins and Brianna Glasper, during which she pepper sprayed him in the face. Atkins then called his cousins over to the location. The cousins, Martavia and Jessie, arrived in a silver Nissan Altima. They each fired multiple rounds at all the victims who were in Briana Smith’s Toyota Corolla. There were six shell casings recovered, and officers confirmed the Toyota was hit twice. Martavia Hughes was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault on May 14th, 2024.
